Throughout the year, you'll find unique events,
captivating performances and entertaining festivals and parades in Prince

their nationally-known, juried crafts shows. In July and August, watch as
re-enactors from around the nation commemorate our historic Civil War battles.
In the summertime, take your family out to a Potomac Cannons ballgame.

Spring
Spring Sugarloaf Crafts Festival -
250 juried artists and artisans demonstrate their skills in jewelry making,
paper making, wheel-thrown pottery, glass-blowing and more. (May)
New Dominion Shakespeare Festival
- The bard's works come to life in one of the most exciting Shakespearean
experiences in the D.C. area. (May)
Old Rose Celebration
- Explore the history of the rose in a beautiful garden in the Ben Lomond
Manor, a historic home that once served as a Civil War hospital. (May)
Manassas Railway Festival
- Celebrate Manassas' railroad heritage in this delightful fair, complete
with juried craft show, entertainment, food and more in historic Old Town
Manassas. (June)
Historic Occoquan Spring Arts and
Crafts Festival - Stroll the 18th
century streets of this riverfront mull town during its annual spring crafts
festival, with over 150 artists, live entertainment, food and more family
fun. (June)
Summer
Civil War Weekends -
Re-enactors and history buffs from around the country flock to the Manassas
National Battlefield Park for both of our Civil War weekends. You will
find encampments, living history, hikes, concerts, demonstrations and more.

Prince William County Fair
- Take part in a timeless August tradition, with animals, agriculture,
country music and more, it's the largest county fair in Virginia. (August)
Freedom Festival
- Enjoy a patriotic celebration for the whole family presented by the Freedom
Museum, at the Manassas Regional Airport. Over 30 vintage war birds
coordinated by the Confederate Air Force and National Capital Squadron and
vintage armor from the Virginia Museum of Military Vehicles. (August)
Fall
Historic Occoquan Fall Arts and Crafts
Show - Scores of visitor take to
the streets of this 18th century town to see the offerings of over 150
artists, with live entertainment, food and more. (September)
Fall Jubilee in Old Town Manassas
- During the annual Fall Jubilee, the streets of Old Town Manassas fill with
music, entertainment, food and arts & crafts produced by top artists.

Santa Arrives in Occoquan
- Santa leaves his reindeer behind and rides into Occoquan on a boat, giving
a jolly start to the holiday shopping season. (November)
"Merry Old Town Manassas"
- The shopkeepers of Old Town Manassas invite everyone into their stores for
line entertainment and refreshments as they shop for holiday gifts. Watch
Santa ride into town on a Virginia Railway Express train. (December)
